This year we were attendees and participants once again in the most important cat show in all of Italy: the Magnificat, in Rome. Mrs Cristina Kowalczuk, current ANFI president, and the entire management commitee succeeded, as usual, in going far beyond expectations: very large and well-lit spaces,
unusual and innovative stands, exciting new proposals, wonderful set-ups, a large audience and many exhibitors with wonderful cats of all breeds. We also had the good fortune of admiring Peterbold, a rare specimen reared in Russia; a very interesting breed recognized not long ago and not to be underestimated. Our birmans were up against stiff competition but we are proud to say that they passed with flying colors.
There were some of the usual setbacks, but we were lucky to have some judges like Mrs Pia Nyman, from Finland, who managed to avoid potential disasters with self control and lots of love for the cats. Our applause goes out to her and to the capable assistants overseeing the events, always on hand for the needs of the participants.
